First Line Manager - Warehouse - Military veterans preferred

Shift patterns: Rotating Earlies/Lates
Shift times: 0530 - 1400 and 1330 - 2200
Location: Rugby - CV23 0XF

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor / FLM to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• To directly assist management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance in your designated area
• To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence
• Working with KPI's and SLA's while looking at continuous improvement initiatives
• To be directly responsible for a team of 15 colleagues

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Previous and practical experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader within a warehouse/supply chain environment
• Investigation and/or disciplinary experience
• Previous experience of preparation and distribution of volume orders
• Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports

A recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be well-received.
