Job Description:

Mechanical Engineering Co-Op - Spring 2025

The Role:
The Mechanical Engineering Co-Op is responsible for working side by side with engineers to tackle day-to-day engineering tasks. This includes performing invaluable testing and data collection. The Co-op will also be responsible for developing prototype test fixtures, test equipment, and production fixtures. This will involve modeling designs in CAD software, generating drawings, coordinating fabrication, testing, and documentation. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.

In this role you will:

• Work with Production engineers and technicians to create fixturing and assembly drawings and maintain in PDM

• Design and model various fixtures and test equipment in CAD software
• Create a database for fixtures and assembly drawings
• 3D print templates
• Assist document writer in SOP creation

• Collect data and generate reports,

• Manage small-scale projects

You're a good fit if you have:

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

• Understanding of general engineering practices
• Ability to collect data, analyze and prepare reports
• Previous Co-Op/Project experience with Solidworks
• Previous expreience with database creation

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

• Solidworks certification
• Previous design experience

• Creative Problem-Solving: Utilizes creativity and applies structured engineering processes to contribute solutions to our challenges

• Effective Communication: Demonstrates strong communication skills by engaging effectively with all team members, not just the hiring manager


Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:

• Mechanical Engineering
• Chemical Engineering
• 2025 or 2026 Undergraduate or Graduate student
