JOB SUMMARY

Coordinate activities of personnel in central supply room or other supply areas as assigned. Engaged in activities such as receiving, storing and documenting. Dispensing such items as office supplies, tools or equipment, foodstuffs or a variety of other items. Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies delivered to and stocked in establishment by performing the following duties.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

• Provides quality Customer Service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction.

• Responsible for maintaining accurate receiving of goods and supplies, maintaining accurate inventory records, arranging and storing the supplies and equipment delivered to the facility.

• Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies, and computes inventory balance, price, and cost.

• Prepares reports such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages as needed.

• Prepares list of depleted items to reorder and recommends survey of defective or unusable items.

• Inspects daily inventory, maintains records of supply usage, and compiles periodic reports.

• Responsible for requisitioning, issuing, controlling, distributing and charging of supplies and equipment from central supply or other areas as assigned.

• Inspects work activities to ensure supply room workers are following prescribed procedures and working in a safe manner.

• May supervise one or more employees in the Central Supply Room or performing receiving and inventory functions in other areas. Responsible in the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

• Performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner. Reports any safety hazards and/or accidents to supervisor.

• Attends all mandatory in-service meetings. Complies with all department and facilities policies and procedures.
