Client Solution Architects (CSA) is currently seeking a dedicated Quality Specialist to join our team and ensure compliance with ISO and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) standards and effectively manage our Quality Management System (QMS). This position is located remotely, however, there is a preference for candidates based in Washington DC, Virginia, New Jersey or California as occasional travel may be required to our office locations in these areas. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance processes to ensure continuous improvement in Quality Management practices and support project delivery across the full range of corporate capabilities.

Reporting to the Senior Director of IT Operations, the Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring and maintaining the overall efficacy of the Quality Management System (QMS). This includes but is not limited to the establishment and maintenance of processes to comply with ISO 9001.

How Your Role Will Make an Impact:

  • Audits and Preparedness
  • Coordinate with corporate departments and respective accrediting bodies to new and existing Enterprise certifications.
  • Establish an annual quality plan/program which clearly defines practices, resources, and schedule of audit related events.
  • Communicate with all levels of the company and partner with various departments to champion the QMS.
  • Create an internal audit schedule, conduct scheduled and ad-hoc audits and assessments.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing current processes, soliciting and recommending areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions.
  • Document and maintain process improvements to demonstrate the effectiveness of the QMS.
  • Execute corrective action plans for non-conformities, and opportunities for improvement (OFI) that are sited in an audit report.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
  • Establish a comprehensive risk management program.
  • Conduct regular reviews of organizational and enterprise risks, mitigation, and management plans.
  • Drive Risk Management framework: identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks impacting quality or compliance.
  • Work with cross functional teams to design, document and execute risk mitigation plans.
  • Documentation
  • Draft, revise, and maintain Quality related document procedures and policies.
  • Maintain oversight of the review and approvals of the QMS Manual and inventory of documents.
  • Responsible for all ISO and CMMI documentation, artifacts or objective evidence in preparation for surveillance or recertification efforts.
  • Training
  • Create organizational engagement and awareness of the QMS through new hire orientation, CSA newsletter updates, and other training materials.
  • Generate an understanding of the QMS and its alignment with processes integrated among various programs at CSA.
  • Reporting
  • Develop appropriate tracking metrics and prepare monthly reporting for ISO required management reviews.
  • Ensure quality objectives are established, understood, and measurable.
  • Lead regular quality review meetings to discuss findings, track progress on quality initiatives.

What You Will Need to Join Our Award-Winning Team:

  • Clearance: Eligible to obtain and maintain an active Secret Clearance.
  • A bachelor's degree in business or a related field. 4 years of relevant experience in project management or quality management, preferably within the Defense Industry, can be substituted for a degree.
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience as a participant, lead, or coordinator in Audit related activities.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001
  • Foundational awareness information security within systems, devices and corresponding frameworks that pertain to safeguarding classified and proprietary information, information security posture and controls (i.e. CMMC, NIST 800-171, ISO 27002)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of accuracy, organization, and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong desire to understand, document and improve processes from inception to completion.

  • In- depth knowledge of ISO 20001, ISO 27001 and CMMI.
  • One or more of the following certifications:
  • Certified Quality Manager (CQM)
  • CMMI ATM or Practitioner
  • Capable of orchestrating, deploying, and overseeing Quality projects and initiatives.
  • Resilient in the face of organizational growth, with a demonstrated drive developing quality initiatives, and advocating for QMS needs.
  • Ability to work independently and take the initiative to achieve results without constant supervision.
  • DOD experience highly preferred

Candidates based in California, Colorado, Hawaii, New Jersey (Jersey City), New York or Washington:
The annual base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. CSA considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
