Job Summary
ESH Medical Records Coder performs professional billing and coding functions. Ensures compliance with all rules and regulations.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Completion of anAssociate’s Degree, plus RHIT or CCP certification and two yearsof related experience. The employee shall become familiar with HIPAAregulations and do their utmost to protect all protected healthinformation (PHI) and other personal or sensitive informationwithin their trust in the course of state business by applyingappropriate safeguards and sharing only the information requiredto deliver agency services. Any personal or sensitive informationoverheard or seen by the employee will be kept confidential bynot sharing it with others, on or off the work-site grounds.Fully participate in all activities regarding the elimination ofthe use of seclusion and restraints in patient care includingeducational requirements, competency development activities, andmeeting established performance goals and measures. Must havecomputer competency in approved systems. Must have excellentcustomer service skills.
