Civil Military Coordination Technical Trainer; Chad, Africa, Multiple locations throughout Africa

COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Choctaw Premier Services is a federal contracting firm dedicated to providing exceptional support in the execution of international security assistance programs. We are currently seeking to develop a robust pipeline for future contract awards, focusing on capacity building and mentorship initiatives in collaboration with foreign military partners.

JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The Civil Military Coordination Technical Trainer assumes a crucial role in advancing civil-military coordination efforts by providing expert training and guidance in Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) operations. This role requires a highly experienced professional with extensive military background in CIMIC practices, capable of developing and delivering comprehensive training programs for both military and civilian partners. The trainer ensures engagement and CIMIC operations are effectively implemented and aligned with mission objectives, contributing significantly to the success of peacekeeping and stability operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and deliver advanced training programs focused on Civil-Military Cooperation for military and civilian personnel.
  • Provide expert guidance on civil-military coordination, leveraging extensive experience in CIMIC and engagement operations.
  • Support and enhance CIMIC operations by applying best practices and innovative strategies in coordination efforts.
  • Train and mentor foreign security partners and local personnel in CIMIC and engagement strategies to build effective civil-military relations.
  • Utilize prior deployment experience to offer practical insights and real-world applications of CIMIC operations.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and CIMIC operations, recommending and implementing improvements as needed.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and briefings on training outcomes, CIMIC operations and strategic recommendations.
  • All other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Expertise in creating and delivering CIMIC and engagement training programs.
  • Advanced knowledge of CIMIC operations, including practical application in peacekeeping and stability missions.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex civil-military coordination challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey training content and operational strategies.
  • Ability to work in diverse cultural settings and ability to navigate regional and cultural differences effectively.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years U.S. or foreign military experience, including service after September 11, 2001.
  • Relevant military operations or foreign security force (police or military) capacity building experience in last five (5) years.
  • Experience as a trainer to a foreign security partner, military or civilian.
  • Demonstrated experience as CIMIC practitioner, with formal service in a Civil Affairs Unit or assignment to an Engagement Team or CIMIC staff position in a maneuver unit.
    1. Candidates without these required assignment titles or unit experience may only be considered acceptable with detailed evidence of demonstrated experience and expertise – annotated by dates and duration – conducting formal, structured, and stand-alone CIMIC and engagement operations as a primary function of their responsibilities.
  • At least one deployment to a combat, peacekeeping, or other contingency operation as part of a civil affairs, engagement, Human Terrain, or other CIMIC related team.
    1. Candidates with a deployment that does not meet these required assignment titles may only be considered acceptable with detailed evidence of deployment experience conducting formal, structured, and stand-alone CIMIC, and engagement operations as a primary function of their responsibilities.

PREFERRED:

  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years U.S. or foreign military experience, including service after September 11, 2001.
  • Completion of a U.S. or foreign equivalent recognized military intelligence course for land forces.
  • Experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa, with an understanding of regional dynamics and challenges.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Capability of working in austere environments.
  • Ability to travel throughout the United States and abroad on short notice.
