Ascent Resources is seeking an experienced Production Analyst. This position is located in Oklahoma City, OK and will report to the Production Accounting Supervisor.
Responsible for organizing and maintenance of documentation to ensure audit readiness. The senior-level position is responsible for the data analysis of both vertical and horizontal well production in multiple operating areas and performing production reporting for wells.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Process both daily and monthly volumes to perform oil and gas production accounting and submit both internal and external reporting
  • Maintain master files to support changes in well configuration in both the production software and revenue software
  • Reconcile and resolve differences in daily production reported and purchaser statements.
  • Complete special project requests
  • Interact with other departments and companies to obtain necessary date for accurate production reporting.
  • Handle special projects that are associated with the changes in the business
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Senior Level
  • Data analysis of both vertical and horizontal well production in multiple operating areas
  • Reconcile purchaser statements and provide both purchaser and in-house revenue allocations
  • Communicate with field personnel including pumpers, production foremen, and operations engineers
  • Perform various other tasks including revenue accrual estimates, oil-in-tank report, Monthly Crude Oil Report,
Weekly Crude Oil Stocks Report, and run ticket upload
  • Perform regulatory and production reporting
  • Manage and load tracking production on Non-Operated wells
  • Develop and maintain procedures for tracking and entering volumes for Non-Op wells
  • Maintain automated process on excel reports for upper management to include NRI, Oil Reconciliations, and
Fuel reports
  • File R3’s & P18’s for assets
  • Collect and analyze volumes, inventory and production sales for assigned completions
  • Generate related monthly NRI reports, oil reconciliations, and Fuel vs. Production reports
  • File G-10’s and W-10’s with the Texas Railroad Commission
  • Load water tickets for Sonora and produce the Water extract report
Non Op Production Control Analyst
  • Obtaining and processing both daily and monthly volumes for Non-Op production
  • Reconciling and resolving differences in daily/monthly production received from the operators
  • Responsible for setting up new non-op wells in Merrick and notification to internal customers of first production
  • Handling special project that are associated with the changes in the business
  • Responsible for organizing and maintenance of documentation
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Minimum Requirements:
  • Knowledge of accounting and finance terminology, computations, practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets, accounting database software and the automated accounting system
  • Ability to review processes and to compare information in order to identify discrepancies and deviating circumstances
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Education & Work Experience Required
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree field
  • 5-8 years’ experience in Production Control Accounting
