The Senior Network Engineer will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures across multiple public cloud environments, primarily Azure and AWS. This role requires deep expertise in network technologies, particularly Fortinet, Cisco, and Meraki, with a strong focus on Cisco SD-WAN. The ideal candidate will have experience in hybrid cloud connectivity, network security, and cutting-edge technologies like SASE and ZTNA. Experience with Aviatrix, Megaport, Equinix, and DDI solutions like Infoblox is highly desirable. The Senior Network Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that network solutions align with business objectives, providing high availability, scalability, and security.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Network Design & Implementation:
    1. Design, deploy, and manage network infrastructures across public clouds, with a focus on Azure and AWS. Experience with OCI and GCP is a plus.
    2. Lead the design and implementation of Cisco SD-WAN solutions, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
    3. Implement and manage Fortinet and Meraki security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks.
  • Cloud Connectivity & Integration:
    1. Solution and deploy hybrid cloud connectivity using technologies like Aviatrix, Megaport, and Equinix to ensure seamless integration between on-premises and cloud environments.
    2. Implement DDI (DNS, DHCP, and IPAM) solutions using Infoblox to manage and automate IP address allocation and DNS configurations.
  • Network Security & Compliance:
    1. Design and implement network security solutions, including SASE and ZTNA technologies, to ensure secure and compliant access to cloud and on-premises resources.
    2. Collaborate with the architecture and cybersecurity teams to enforce security policies and ensure network compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
    1. Monitor network performance and security using advanced tools, identifying and resolving issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
    2. Lead the troubleshooting of complex network issues, providing expert-level support and guidance to junior engineers.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
    1. Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration guides, and standard operating procedures.
    2. Mentor and train junior network engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices to build team expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:
    1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Relevant certifications or experience (e.g., CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Meraki CMNA) are highly desirable.
    2. A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in senior network engineering, with a focus on SDWAN & public cloud environments, including Azure and AWS. Experience with OCI and GCP is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
    1. Deep knowledge of Fortinet, Cisco, and Meraki technologies, with hands-on experience in implementing and managing these solutions.
    2. Extensive experience with Cisco SD-WAN solutions, including design, deployment, and management.
    3. Familiarity with SASE and ZTNA technologies, with the ability to implement these in a cloud environment.
    4. Experience with hybrid cloud connectivity solutions such as Aviatrix, Megaport, and Equinix is highly desirable.
    5. Proficiency in DDI solutions, particularly Infoblox, is a strong plus.
    6. Strong understanding of network security principles, including firewall policies, VPNs, and network segmentation.
  • Soft Skills:
    1. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in a timely manner.
    2. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
    3. Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
  • Certifications:
    1. Relevant industry certifications or experience such as CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Meraki CMNA, AWS Certified Networking – Specialty, Azure Network Engineer Associate are strongly preferred.
