Responsibilities

Complete Building Services is seeking two (2) maintenance mechanics in support of an operations and maintenance (O&M) contract for the Martinsburg, WV Internal Revenue Service (IRS) facility. Maintenance Mechanics shall have four (4) years of experience obtained within the past seven (7) years in a trade or occupation in maintenance, repair and operation of complex buildings equipment and systems such as performed by a stationary engineer, air conditioning equipment mechanic, maintenance electrician and/or maintenance plumber/pipe fitter. Available shifts: Sunday-Thursday 12:00 am to 8:00 am days off Friday and Saturday, or Tuesday-Saturday 12:00 am to 8:00 am days off Sunday and Monday.

The experience shall have included journeyman level experience in at least two of the following trades/activities and relevant knowledge of the remaining trade activities:

  • Operating/adjusting building HVAC systems for efficiency and comfort,
  • Maintaining/trouble shooting/repairing the following systems/equipment:
  • Chillers and chilled water systems,
  • Building HVAC equipment
  • Boilers and hot water heating systems,
  • Domestic water and plumbing systems,
  • Electrical systems including lighting, motors, starters, contactors, etc.
  • Understand written and oral instructions to perform the required work
  • Perform basic building maintenance of a government commercial office building
  • General building maintenance knowledge in a variety of skilled and semi-skilled craft trades to support mechanical and electrical heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning machinery
  • Make minor adjustment and repairs to building systems in support of the contract (i.e., HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
  • Perform minor touch-up painting chores consistent with preventive maintenance functions and minor repairs
  • Perform minor preventive maintenance functions such as: Changing filters; heating and cooling coils; cleaning floor drains; and changing fluorescent tubes and other light bulbs where needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining, responding to service requests, as needed under guidance of the PM, Chief Engineer, or Shift Supervisor.
  • Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.
  • Perform emergency repairs and available for after hour and weekend repairs
  • Operate a forklift or man lift, as needed
  • Work effectively with the customer, building tenants and other team members
  • Ability to troubleshoot, complete work order assigned in a timely matter
  • Ability to read Architectural and manufacturing blueprints and generate design concepts using available tools
  • Capable with basic office equipment to include cell phone, tablet, telephone, fax, and copy scanner


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (at a minimum)
  • OSHA 30 desired
  • An existing HSPD-12 Determination for Work desired
