Job Summary:

This advisory position is responsible for acting as ARV's Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Artillery systems to include tracked and towed 155mm systems and ammunition in direct support of ARV business pursuits. Efforts will include planning and executing artillery live fire demonstrations, helping assess and develop key artillery systems, and preparing written technical descriptions in support of proposals and request for information. Position will be located at home location.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Essential Functions:

  • Direct responsibility for planning and executing Artillery gunnery operations
  • Coordinate with US Government and Company owned range facilities to develop artillery demonstration firing plans, safety approval, and tactical scenarios.
  • Represent and interface with both US and foreign representatives of Rheinmetall and teammates to plan and execute live fire demonstrations and the development of technical data to be included in proposals and information papers.
  • As part of Capture and Proposal teams review and assess USG proposed artillery system requirements and ARV solutions compliance to requirements.
  • Undergo and training and knowledge transfer with Rheinmetall and teammates to become ARV SME on proposed Artillery systems.
  • Positively represent Rheinmetall as required to USG customers and teammates.
  • As artillery SME performance maintenance and operation on Artillery systems.
  • Ensure and vehicles ARV utilizes in business captures are repaired, maintained, and upgraded in accordance with program requirements and timelines to ensure successful test outcomes.
  • Interface with USG Test personnel and US Army program personnel providing status and progress in execution of vehicle maintenance and upgrade activities.
  • Successfully and positively manage Partners, and Teammates, and Subcontractors to achieve Program objectives.
  • In conjunction with Engineering team support the planning and execution of vehicle trouble shooting, repair and upgrade activities.
  • Provide technical guidance to Program Engineering, and Logistics teams in the optimal design and performance of Artillery systems to support soldier and warfighting tasks and procedures.
  • As a Rheinmetall SME provide information briefings to Company and US Army representatives on the performance characteristics of Company Products.
  • Closely collaborate with Company teammates and Subcontractors to ensure Program objectives are achieved.
  • Establish key relationships with USG stakeholders, Rheinmetall colleagues and teammates Business Objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (as demonstrated through experience, training and/or testing)

  • Ability to use MS Office products
  • Well-developed communication skills and the ability to represent the Company in a positive manner.
  • Ability to work in a high pressure and highly visible work environment.
  • Self-starter able to work independently with little on-site supervision while providing routine status and reporting of progress to Company leadership.
  • Ability to protect Company’s critical information and plans.
  • Knowledge of US Army maintenance procedures and operations and proven experience in managing maintenance operations.
  • Professional appearance and manner.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, equivalent combination of education and experience or commensurate work experience

Experience:

  • US Army Certified M109 Artillery specialist
  • At least 15 years of US Army Combats Arms Experience with positions of increasing leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Active US Passport
  • US security clearance or eligible to apply for and receive US security clearance

Background Prerequisites:

  • Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing.
