The Department of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine, University of Pittsburgh, is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor in the appointment stream. The incumbent will contribute to the academic mission of the Department of Medicine and School of Medicine as a clinician educator. The incumbent’s duties will include acting as a Clinical Skills Preceptor. In this role, they will be expected to teach and train medical students in the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Specific duties will include facilitating medical student sessions and attending preparation sessions on assigned afternoons, with specifics to be determined by course needs; facilitating other medical student sessions and activities as required; participating in faculty development, retreats, and other sessions as required.

Qualified candidates must have an MD degree in the field of internal medicine and experience in clinical instruction and training of medical students, residents, and fellows. Preference will be given to candidates with one or more years of relevant experience and who demonstrate the capacity for career development and promotion.
