Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.

Position Summary:

All openpositions are Hybrid & On-site, and employees are expected to be on-site as per their approved schedule.

The ideal candidate will join a vibrant and inclusive educational community,and have a desire and ability to work with a diverse population. This is apart-time, non-unit position with no benefits.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Administer and proctor Accuplacer exams on-campus and remotely, to incoming students in accordance with testing policies and procedures;
  • Maintain testing supplies and materials, troubleshoot test administration problems, and ensure optimal testing conditions;
  • Maintain high level of security and confidentially regarding all aspects of testing and materials;
  • Proficiency in using Zoom, WebEx and other similar virtual meeting platforms;
  • Ability to troubleshoot common technical issues related to virtual meetings;
  • Monitor and respond to test inquiries, scheduling appointments and general requests for information;
  • Maintain accurate and current test databases, files and student usage records;
  • Assists with producing semester and yearly reports;
  • Provide department information to students, including explaining services, helping students access computer programs, making appointments and referrals for other resources when appropriate;
  • Participate in meetings and training activities with department and/or college personnel;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to work both independently and collaboratively;
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other similar programs;
  • Equipment experience and skill usage in computers, printers and copiers;
  • Ability to give written and oral communication instructions;
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.

Salary Range: $30 per hour
