ABOUT THE ROLE

The Sales Support Coordinator will work closely with the Sales Support Manager and team to maximize sales by providing necessary administrative support; work in partnership with Academic Sales to gather data and facilitate the exchange of communication between internal and external contacts; will represent the team on projects involving sales/customer data and systems, and manage system changes required by the sales teams and/or key accounts with the ultimate aim of maximizing sales of Global Academic across markets.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Global Institutional Sales teams to enable them to meet or exceed sales targets, both for specific initiatives and annual territory goals;
  • Liaison with the Corporate Sales and Licensing team with the creation and dissemination of data for quotes as needed;
  • Work within Salesforce to update account information or provide guidance on quote creation and order processing;
  • Process trials as needed
  • Assist Sales in using various databases, customer information, title lists, and liaising with other areas of the business to resolve customer queries;
  • Assist in order processing using necessary systems;

ABOUT YOU

  • Previous experience in sales or sales administration roles is essential
  • Previous experience in customer service roles is highly preferred
  • An understanding of the publishing industry and its specific reporting needs and common stumbling blocks preferred
  • Must have excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and inter-personal skills, and possess the ability to comfortably liaise with many departments and levels of hierarchy.
  • Must be able to prioritize and effectively manage time, be a team player, be proactive, possess the ability to work under deadlines
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must be proficient in the full MS Office Suite and possess the ability to learn new software programs and work in them comfortably
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred but not essential

Position Location: This role can be hybrid, based out of Cary, NC or remote in the United States.

GJC Level: S3 (for internal purposes only)

Salary: $36,400 - $52,000 dependent on skills and experience
