1/ Main tasks & key responsibilities:
- Drives competitive pricing:
- Executes country bid response, defines bid strategy, gathers and checking of pricing inputs, consolidates country bid response
- Provides correct and timely feedback to global bids; answers global and region-to-region pricing requests
- Provides best buying for Sales for local customers, supports and follows up with Sales
- Executes pricing campaigns, ensures maximum profitability for ocean freight
- Works with carriers / regional pricing team for best pricing solution
- Owns and maintains 'Country tariffs' & related pricing systems
- Manages and ensures capacity utilization to align with regional/global instruction and agreement
- Escalates need for decision-making on risk-taking through higher hierarchy levels
- Manages carrier performance and develops carrier relationships locally
- Interacts with customers in alignment with Sales
- Acts as Ocean freight experts in training, customer visits, local ocean freight conferences, etc.
- Adheres to and complies with company rules and principles
2/ Qualifications:
- Deep knowledge of Ocean Freight forwarding business
- Strong project management skills and ability to cope with multiple bids in parallel
- Strong analytical skills and good communication skills
- Commercial experience/capabilities
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong problem-solving mentality
- Dynamic/ aggressive
- Excellent in English communication
