Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sustainable Procurement Specialist to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead and initiate sustainability initiatives within our procurement process. The successful candidate will play a vital role in integrating sustainability practices and mapping out their implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the sourcing team to understand current procurement processes and identify opportunities for integrating sustainability practices.
• Provide recommendations and develop strategies for incorporating sustainability into the procurement process.
• Act as an ambassador for sustainability within the procurement department, advocating for the inclusion of sustainable practices in procurement decisions.
• Develop and implement sustainability programs, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry best practices.
• Stay updated on industry trends and developments in sustainable procurement practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to promote awareness and understanding of sustainable procurement practices.
• Monitor and report on the progress and impact of sustainability initiatives within the procurement process.
• Provide training and guidance to procurement staff on sustainable procurement practices.

Essential Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on sustainability.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and commodity markets.
• Knowledge of environmental sustainability principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and develop strategies.
• Proven track record of implementing sustainable procurement programs.
