Senior Transport Safety Manager - Military veterans preferred

Responsibilities

• Report critical issues and significant risks may cause to people life to the management


• Provide monthly progress update


• Support customer audit on HSE Management Systems and HSE related topics.


• Work closely with the team of HSE officers/ representatives to fulfil the objectives of the HSE Functions.


• Monitor the implementation and maintenance of the HSE Management Systems.


• Ensure legal and regulatory affairs compliance and effective coordination of HSE change management through liaison with internal and external parties.


• Legal compliance


• Follow-up on findings from customer HSE audit


• Equipped with the right skills and competency to own and maintain HSE Management Systems.


• Develops, implements, evaluates, and monitors HSE programs - and enhances results in a safer and healthier work environment for DSC employees


• Provides feedback and follows up on historical inspections and suggests areas of improvement to operations personnel and upper management.


• Manages, ensures and monitors occupational health, safety and environment inspections and audits


• Serves as the overall health, safety and environmental consultant to the company


• Ensures that trend analysis and communication of health and safety risks are communicated to the organization


• Promotes the development, implementation, and evaluation of health promotion and disease prevention programs and services


• Facilitate the HSE continuous improvement efforts in terms of accident prevention and environment protection initiatives


• Provides direct supervision of the occupational health, safety and environment staff


• Provides leadership and motivation to all staff within the scope of responsibility


• Ensures the promotion of discipline amongst employees within the scope of responsibility

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree on Occupational Health and Safety


• Fluent in communication to various hierarchies within organization


• Minimum 7 years experience in HSE, especial safety transport


• Excellent understanding and experience in Safety, Health and Management System requirements


• Understanding of logistics business


• Project management skills


• Communication and presentation skills


• Fluent both in Thai and English


• Computer literacy


• Able to travel and visit sites
