Job Purpose:
Job Responsibilities:
· Craft and implement ocean freight operations and customer service strategy in line with the country’s business strategy, corporate guidelines, and policies.
· Lead planning, budgeting, and implementation of ocean freight plans to drive profitability, volume growth, and service expansion.
· Develop, organize, and control large country projects for fast, reliable, efficient, and affordable ocean freight solutions.
· Manage end-to-end capacity, optimize network procurement, and implement consolidation opportunities for effective operational management.
· Oversee decisions for operation sites, capacity procurement, technical support, and local purchasing in accordance with corporate policy.
· Develop strategic focus and steer customs business, including product development and monitoring preferred carrier usage and incentive deals.
· Conduct market profiling, customer, and competitor research to identify opportunities and challenges, and define effective pricing strategies.
· Support sales interactions with key customers, providing pricing and margin guidance, and assisting with bids, RFQs, and customer presentations.
· Define and ensure compliance with corporate standards, procedures, and specifications, and introduce best practices for operations.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments and third parties, influence stakeholders, and champion cooperation for integrated problem-solving solutions.
Required Qualifications & Skills
· Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Maritime Business, International Trade) OR proven professional qualification in the Freight Forwarding & Logistics industry.
· At least 8 years of experience in Freight Forwarding & Logistics Business (preferably in a Senior Management role).
· Functional experience in P&L management & operations experience, Strategy Implementation, Business Strategy/Operations, Business Development, Revenue Growth, Project Management, Stakeholder Management, Presentation & Storytelling, People Management, and negotiation.
· Demonstrate high integrity with a proven compliance record and a commitment to a strong work ethic.
