Looking
for Team player, who directs, administers, controls and responsible for
day-to-day operations and activities of application and infra support team.
Coordinating between support and Ops/BU team to prioritize the issues and
finding solution, regular reporting and conducting service review meetings.
Administrating/supporting network, middleware, OS and DB components jointly
with vendor team.
- Role mandates detailed technical skills,
strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and sound experience on leading
and administrative tasks.
- Lead
and prioritize Application Support team’s workload and shift schedule planning.
- Manage
and Own the Problem Management Process, Develop, co-ordinate and promote the
effective functioning of problem management activities across all support
teams.
- Contribute
to the planning of application/infrastructure releases and configuration
changes.
- To
examine potential areas for Service Improvement and raise proposals with the
Service Manager.
- Provide
technical leadership and drive the war room session during emergency
application outages.
- Capacity
management – Perform regular review of server resources using monitoring tools
like Dynatrace, HP OVPM and ensure the capacity within threshold limit.
- Interact
with internal teams and external 3rd party vendors to trouble shoot and resolve
complex problems.
- Design
appropriate metrics for reporting on key performance and quality indicators,
particularly in terms of in-depth trend analysis
- Provide
3rd line Application Support on complex internally and externally developed
applications.
- Provide
input to administering and maintaining all production and internal
environments.
- Provide
input to the implementation, backup and roll-back plans.
- Follow
appropriate organizational policies (i.e., change management process (CAB),
dependencies, security and auditing, release, configuration, problem and
incident management)
- Enable
system/application/access log/network traffic monitoring, define the threshold
and enable alerting.
- Manage
External Link Requests (ELR) requests understanding the application
requirements by creating and implementing irule setups and bigIP configurations.
Ensure the network configurations are as per security standards.
- Coordinate
to install the utilities/software’s on Linux machine to support the application
support/development.
- Coordinate
with support team to provide the business critic reports and stats.
- Prepare
new application/functionality rollout to new location/regions.
- knowledge
on middleware components, Linux OS, Networking, micro services and ITIL
processes.
- Experience
with supporting multi-tier infrastructures.
- Experience
with supporting Angular, Java, Spring based applications and an understanding
of web technology.
- Expert
in Oracle, MYSQL, PostgreSQL databases + PL SQL script knowledge
- Knowledge
on Cloud architecture is added advantage.
- Good
to have Retail and Logistics domain knowledge.
- Creative, problem-solving skills
and ability to work conceptually.
- Good
at managing customer/client relationship.
- Ability
to stick to deadlines and priorities.

As a Senior Application
Support specialist, having expertise
knowledge on Linux, DB, middleware is a huge plus. Very good knowledge of ITIL will
also be an integral part of this role.
You are a technology
aficionado, therefore you have a good understanding of Angular, Java, Spring
based applications. You are able to work independently, prioritize and organize
your tasks under time and workload pressure. Working in a multinational
environment, you can expect cross-region collaboration with teams around the
globe, thus being advanced in spoken and written English will be certainly
