Overview

Sev1Tech is looking for a Lead Cloud Security Architect who will have extensive experience in designing and implementing security measures for cloud-based solutions. As a Lead Cloud Security Architect, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of our cloud infrastructure and solutions, developing, and implementing security standards and best practices, and providing technical guidance to other security architects and engineers.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and implementing security measures for cloud-based solutions that meet Government requirements.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to other security architects and engineers.
  • Developing and implementing security standards and best practices for cloud infrastructure and solutions in AWS, Azure, OCI, and GCP cloud platforms hosted in FedRAMP and FedRAMP+ environments.
  • Evaluating new cloud security technologies and common services and make recommendations for their use.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure cloud-based solutions.
  • Ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
  • Serving as a principal liaison for enterprise-level boundary defense initiatives to ensure consistent and sufficient identification and implementation of applicable cybersecurity controls in concert with the agency cybersecurity and cloud architecture and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) security guidelines.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with CSPs and vendors.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation related to cloud security solutions.
  • Understanding the following standards: DISA STIG and NIST SP 800-53.



Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in cloud security, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • CompTIA SEC+ Certification.
  • Experience with public cloud providers (certificate preferred) such as AWS, Azure, OCI, and GCP in FedRAMP and FedRAMP+ environments.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance requirements for cloud-based solutions operating within the Government, including DoD Cloud Computing SRG v1 R 4 (or superseding versions or releases).
  • Experience with cloud security technologies such as identity and access management, encryption, and network security.
  • Strong communication, leadership, interpersonal, and team skills and experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship and must possess a minimum of an active DoD Secret security clearance.

Contingency: This position is contigent upon contract award (September/October 2024 timeframe)



Qualifications



  • Recent Air Force background and experience.
  • Familiarity and experience with Air Force Cloud One program and program management office.
  • Familiarity and experience with Department of Air Force (USAF and USSF) application owners and customers.
  • Experience with all four cloud service providers (AWS, MS Azure, Oracle, Google).
  • Experience with contractor manpower reporting and work breakdown structures.
  • Experience with contract budgeting and funds status reporting.
  • Experience with DoD and AF cybersecurity requirements.
  • Knowledge of DoD Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA).
  • Knowledge of DoD Cloud Computing SRG v1 R 4 (or superseding versions or releases).
  • Experience managing large teams with major subcontractors.
  • Experience with DoD and AF customer communication, program management reviews, leading meetings and presentations.
  • Familiarity with AF risk management, configuration management, and data management.
