Job Description Job Description Description: The Removable Specialist will play a key role in supporting the organization’s goal of attracting and retaining the best technician’s and professionals in the dental lab industry. The Removable Specialist must demonstrate the ability to produce high quality restorations as well as train and develop other removable technicians to do the same. Standardization : Develop, implement and enforce quality control standards across the organization. Standardization of processes and procedures in all aspects of the removables department. Establish and execute improvements of workflows, materials and throughput. Training: Identify and report areas requiring training and development Work with Director of Training and Development to develop training programs for new and current employees, including an implementation plan, goal setting, and progress reports Provide specific training to those in the training program Create and maintain SOPs and Visual Standards to aid in standardizing training and quality control process Create additional presentations for CE Events, in order to enhance dentists’ skills and help the laboratory building the Anterior and Complex Cases Specialist Brand Select and Develop team of Advanced Specialist in Satellite Locations Ensure compliance with safety procedures Speaking Engagements: Present at industry speaking engagements as a recruiting and marketing strategy. Develop and deliver presentations to providers through Lunch and Learns and webinars. Provide Educational opportunities through CE courses. Complex Case Specialist: Quality control - Quality Control cases to ensure that all steps of fabrication have been completed to BonaDent Standards, using BonaDent’s QC checkpoints. QC Denture and Cast Partial fabrications at various stages. Pre-case review with technicians to ensure proper attention is given to cases before they start on ACC and other complex restorations Give regular and consistent feedback to denture and cast partial technicians Ensure that all Rx’s and preferences are followed Train other key employees to Quality Control for consistent results Travel to Satellite Locations to carry out Quality Control and Train Technicians Customer Relations: Develop relationships with assigned accounts to retain and grow sales. Responsible for being proactive on case concerns Follow up calls on cases, product upgrades and suggestions, etc. Calling new doctors for preferences and ensuring overall satisfaction of cases Communicates effectively with doctors and staff as well as with colleagues, management and other departmental representatives Production: Carry out production on complex denture cases as necessary to meet team goals and ensure quality. Responsible for carrying out/completing phases of denture fabrication to BonaDent Standards Waxing, setting up and finishing complex, combo to immediate load cases Chairside Conversions : Train to become an onsite technician for Chairside Conversions Travel to customer offices and carry out in-office Chairside Conversions Innovation and Subject Matter Expert: Keep team up to date on industry trends, products and technologies for removables. Introduce new products and materials to enhance the removable offerings Requirements: Strong technical expertise and experience in removables Previous training experience Previous leadership experience Strong interpersonal and communication skills Attention to detail and organizational skills Experience with digital dentures a plus 25% travel to satellite labs
