SUMMARY: The Shipper/Receive r is responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company insurability standards. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications preferred Medium/Heavy Truck Parts Specialist Certification preferred Complete and pass OSHA approved forklift training ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Back-up to Parts Delivery Driver as needed; pick-up and deliver parts or raw materials to/from our suppliers using a company-provided vehicle. Prepares and expedites shipments in a timely and accurate manner. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Proper operation of equipment to safety and productivity requirements, including but not limited to: Lift truck or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas. Unpacks, examines, and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with the shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Able to receive and process all defective parts returned for replacement or credit (RMA). Check in and stock parts inventory and ensure accuracy.
