PART-TIME: These employees work between 20 and 30 hours each week and are paid on an hourly basis. These employees are eligible for certain benefits based on their average hours and paid time off is paid on a prorated basis.

JOB SUMMARY:

Serves bank customers and promotes good will by providing efficient and prompt services in all over-the-counter banking transactions; cross sells the bank's various services.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

* High School Diploma or GED

* Previous customer service experience

* One year experience in cash handling and balancing preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Good interpersonal skills

* Selling ability

* Ability to perform detail work quickly and accurately.

* Able to demonstrate proficiency in all job functions upon completion of scheduled training class.

* Employees who do not have a current Product Knowledge score of 85% must pass the Product Knowledge Exam before being allowed to interview.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Functions as the bank's primary contact with the general public, cross sells bank services, and ensures that each customer receives prompt, courteous service.

2. Receives deposits for commercial checking, individual checking, savings, CDs, and IRAs, verifies cash and endorsements, and issues receipts.

3. Cashes checks and pays out cash upon verification of signature and customer balances within limits set forth.

4. Places holds on accounts for uncollected funds, and pays withdrawals after verifying balance and signatures.

5. Receives mortgage, installment loan, Visa, PEL, or any other payments, after checking the amount and due date.

6. Sells official checks, Visa Gift Cards, processes cash advances, receives U.S. Bonds for redemption.

7. Gathers conductor information when necessary under Bank Secrecy Act guidelines.

8. Ensures courier bag is prepared for each run.

9. Maintains and orders teller supplies.

10. Performs as a back-up Cash Vault Teller as required.

11. Must score at least 85% on Product Knowledge Exam annually; if applicant does not have a current score they must take and pass the Product Knowledge Exam within 90 days of starting the position.

12. Performs other duties as assigned.
