Required License/Registration/Certification
Registered Nurse (RN) and must advance on UKHC Nursing Professional Advancement (NPA) within 6 months of hire and annual resubmission required throughout employment in this job title.
Physical Requirements
The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds on a daily basis; as well as stand, walk and sit for long periods of time. The conditions of work may involve exposure to communicable diseases and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments.

Monday – Friday, Day Shift; typically 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (40 hrs/wk); other hours as needed
Job Summary
The Nurse Team Lead provides disease-specific patient care to a group of patients who have serious acute and/or chronic health events or who are seeking healthcare to maintain their state of wellness.
Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to, skilled assessments, care plans and care plan implementation, patient education, and clinical evaluation or interventions.
This position requires working with medical professionals who are working under time, and efficiency constraints in an ambulatory care setting with patient-centered care focus on quality, safety, and service. A working knowledge of enterprise, nursing, departmental policies, protocols, and procedures is needed to be successful.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Basic computer knowledge, MS Windows, Word, Outlook, clinical applications. Supervisory experience, detail oriented.
