As the Company evolves, it is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance & Accounting, the Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting financial and management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, cost analysis and decision-making support in our agricultural distribution and eCommerce markets. The Analyst's efforts will allow Senior Management and others to understand business performance and areas of strength as well as areas for improvement. Major Areas of Accountability The ideal candidate is experienced in not only analyzing financials, but also explaining "the why". Prepare management reports and presentations summarizing financial performance and highlighting KPIs, trends, and key insights for executive-level review. Analyze monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements and/or trending data to support the monthly estimate and include risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Develop and maintain complex financial models to support decision-making processes, including scenario analysis and sensitivity testing. Provide consultation on key strategic initiatives to ensure achievement of strategic goals. Recommends changes in analysis and budgetary methods and procedures to assist in the development of strategic plans. Support strategic planning initiatives by providing financial insights and variance analysis to assist in decision-making processes. Prepare short-term and long-term financial forecasts based on market trends, historical data, and business strategies. Analyze cost structures and cost drivers to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement. Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and research projects as requested by management or stakeholders. Collaborate with various departments, such as operations, sales, and marketing, to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., Master of Business Administration) or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus. 3 years relevant experience in corporate finance or financial planning & analysis. Public company FP&A experience preferred. Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. Familiarity with financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) and financial metrics. Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting. Ability to interpret data, perform complex financial calculations, and draw meaningful insights to support decision-making. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively interact with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and executive management. Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships and influence decision-making processes. Proficiency in financial software and tools such as ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft NAV, Business Central), and data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) a plus.
