This role will be posted from 6/25/24 until July 9, 2024. The Employee Health and Wellness Manager oversees the strategy and execution of programs that support employee well-being. Leads programs related to pre-employment employee physicals, return to work assessments, and other programs that support employee mental and physical needs. The manager ensures that the vendors utilized for physicals, drug screens and any other reviews align with AmeriGas standards, Federal Motor Carrier Driver Qualifications, DOT random and alcohol drug testing and are convenient for the employee to use. The manager will partner with various functional and operational partners (HR, Safety, Benefits, etc.) to ensure that the programs complement each other while ensuring that our employees are safe each day while at work and have access to resources for personal health benefits. Key Characteristics: Expertise in programs that advocate and promote employee health and wellness as it relates to position physical requirements and assessments and ergonomics, return to work or lost time in highly regulated environments. Demonstrated abilities to lead and manage multiple projects to completion that achieve business efficiencies and results. Experience handling administrative tasks related to medical care and working with medical providers with a solid understanding of medical terminology. Communication expertise, independent problem-solving and patience in working with employees, providers, and managers in facilitating appropriate conversations and outcomes related to employee health and well-being. Duties and Responsibilities Designs strategy and programs that promote positive employee health and well-being in the workplace which include new hire requirements related to fitness tests or physicals and drug screens that meet Federal Motor Carrier Driver and DOT compliance, return to work physicals, position physical requirements and assessments, ergonomics review and improvements and other related assessments. In partnership with the AMG HRBP, Safety and Compliance functions, develop and evaluate processes and projects related to pre-employment, return to work physicals, and DOT compliance that are multidisciplinary and leverage the key partnerships; lead planning and execution to integrate the programs and services across the enterprise. Provide support for cross-functional initiatives and projects aimed at improving effectiveness and integrating work and processes across AMG teams as it relates to employee health and well-being. Implements continuous improvement methodologies to review current programs, procedures, safety incidents, data and trends and partners with AMG leadership team implement programs and offerings that improve physical and mental well-being to meet the changing needs of the organization and the environment. Assess technology and vendor relationships to elevate current programs, drive automation where possible and increase transparency where appropriate Ensures compliance with DOT requirements for new hires related to DOT physicals, clearing house verification, and other requirements prior to beginning employment Oversees vendor management with execution of fitness tests or return to work, DOT physicals, and drug screens to meet AmeriGas business needs in a cost-efficient manner Manages the Return-to-Work Program for AmeriGas with about 300 - 500 active transitional duty cases (WC, STD and FMLA) and over 3,000 DOT clearances annually inclusive of vendor’s clinical review. Support and strengthen key partnerships across the employee health/wellness system, including with clinical, administrative, and operational leaders and teams, to ensure the delivery and performance of services and programs promote a healthier way of work. Represent AMG in internal committees as needed to promote health equity, support integration of initiatives into enterprise operations, and provide thought partnership on AMG programs and services across the enterprise. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Managerial level expertise with employee physical, drug screen, return to work programs, and worker’s compensation Demonstrated knowledge of DOT regulations for driver exams and clearances. Strong project management and process skills; ability to collect, interpret, analyze, and summarize data with clear outlines and communication to help drive decisions for improvement Ability to handle multiple priorities at once and achieve business results. Professional in communications at all levels from employee contact, inter-department operations, senior management, external providers, and vendors. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree with progressive experience plus 5 years of managing employee health and well-being programs, including vendor management. Demonstrated expertise with FMCSA and DOT compliance Working Conditions: Valley Forge headquarters location with some travel required. The pay for this position ranges from $87,000.00 to 127,000.00, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation includes eligibility to earn a performance-based bonus or commissions on completed sales. This is the Company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.
