Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation as it relates to network topology, equipment, and configurations for the network infrastructure and customers.
  • Create project plans, design, and implement solutions.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement strategies for LAN/WAN hardware and software requirements and capabilities to support internal and external customer needs.
  • Participate in upgrades, troubleshooting, and/or on-call availability as needed.
  • Maintains advanced knowledge of network hardware/software interconnections and interfaces (such as LAN/WAN equipment and services, switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, VPN and Cloud.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems using available network tools.
  • Provide support for peers and other IT teams.
  • Interface with third party vendors as liaison between client and vendor.
  • Work closely with other departments/organizations and collaborate with other IT staff.
  • Experience working with Cisco CSPC collector.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science, related field, or equivalent education or a minimum 5 years’ experience within the networking industry.
  • Experience with load balancers F5 Big-IP and AVI
  • Experience with Cisco ASA FW and Palo Alto
  • Experience with AWS and Azure cloud technologies.
  • Experience with and Bluecat DHCP/DNS
  • In-Depth TCP/IP troubleshooting skills are essential.
  • Ability to communicate with other team members to cross-train on problem resolution.
  • Ability to provide project leadership or work with project leaders in a technical leadership capacity to ensure success of projects.
  • Attention to detail, flexible, open to suggestions, and possess good communicative interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects, each with specific requirements that may differ from project to project.
  • Familiarity in Data Center Network Design including virtualization technologies.
  • Extensive experience in firewall design, implementation and maintenance.
  • Extensive experience in LAN/WAN design, implementation, and site migrations.
  • In-depth understanding of BGP routing.
