Job Description Job Description Apex Mills, a U.S. based specialty fabric and textile manufacturer, is hiring a Sales Support/Customer Service Specialist in our Western Nassau County (Long Island) corporate office. We are located within walking distance of the LIRR (45 minutes from Manhattan). The work environment is fast-paced and team-oriented, and you'll be working with a dynamic Sales Team. We are looking for smart, customer-focused people to join us in this exciting time as we grow and diversify to meet today’s demanding textile production challenges. As a Customer Support Specialist , you will assist the sales team by providing customer service to existing accounts and new prospects. You will help increase sales by developing strong client relationships and responding to customer requests. Responsibilities: Take pride and ownership in building and maintaining strong business relationships with customers Enter customer orders into the CRM and send acknowledgments and supporting documents Research stock availability and lead time to produce orders to ensure the customer is given timely and accurate information Track orders from initial entry to actual shipment and receipt, ensuring customer satisfaction Follow up with production and provide customers with updates on order status, setting clear expectations Resolve problems by clarifying the customer's concern, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, and following up to ensure a satisfactory resolution Prepare and send fabric samples to new prospects and customers Become a CRM expert: modifying, importing, and exporting orders and other data from the system Collect appropriate feedback from customers to assist the sales team in closing sales Keep up with new product sales launches and make sure the sales support team is up to date Our ideal candidate will have: Minimum of 2 years of Customer Service experience in an office environment High school diploma (associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred) Proficient in Microsoft 365, including Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel Previous complex order entry experience into a CRM or ERP system. Infor CSI preferred. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Strong customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to build rapport with clients by anticipating their needs If you are an energetic leader who is detail-oriented and customer-focused, we want you to be a part of our team.
