As part of their role on the IFS team, the Product Owner Intern will be responsible for:

• Collaborate with the IFS and cross functional enterprise teams to gather requirements and prioritize features in accordance with data centric analysis (i.e., the data of current observations need to steer the requirements);
• Participate in key meetings such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives (all aspects of the Agile methodology);
• Assist in maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog (defects and enhancements);
• Learn to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure product success.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on project status.
• Gain practical experience in product discovery, backlog management, and sprint planning;
• Develop a deep understanding of InComm technical and fraud methodologies and their application in software development.
• Engaged – We need you to ask all the Twinkie questions that you can think of in order to improve our customer experience.

To carry out this role successfully, the ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Interns are required to work 20 hours per week (flexible M-F schedule) year round;
• Junior or incoming Senior enrolled in Columbus State University, pursuing a BS or BA degree within the field of Computer Science or Mathematics (or equivalent) as we are looking for you to solve real world problems;
• Knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology (and/or Project Management Methodology) is a bonus;
• Working knowledge of product development, including logistic mapping such as Visio or Lucid, and process mapping applications is a bonus;
• Proficiency in the use of analytic tools such as Excel, Word & Powerpoint (but if you have experience within Power BI, SQL, Splunk Query, Python Jupyter Notebook please call that out in your resume);
• Must be self-motivated, ability to prioritize effectively and not shy away to seek guidance when you are blocked on a task;
• Excellent oral and written communication;
• Ability to work with large teams; Willing and capable of learning new tools and technologies (as this position will arm you with the skills and knowledge necessary to success as a product owner)
