Overview

RES is looking for a Agricultural Equipment Operator with 1+ years ecological restoration experience, based out of our Hillsdale, IN office.

The mission: Consistently meet the guidelines/goals of planting plans, E&S plans, IPM plans, and invasive management standards. Perform QA/QC and take corrective actions if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Operating various farm, and landscape tools
  • Operate skid steer and attachments, skid steer with forestry attachments, tractors with attachments, equipment for herbicide site preparation, marsh master with all available attachments
  • Calibrating native seed drills and herbicide site preparation equipment
  • Safe loading/unloading and hauling of aforementioned equipment
  • Perform basic daily checks on the equipment and ability to address basic issues of aforementioned equipment

Qualifications



We would like to talk to you if you have many of the following:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Understanding seeding depth /rate.
  • Operating seed drill, large tractors, and/or mowers.
  • Ability to learn to read and understand the project plans, details, and specifications
  • Ability to use basic mapping programs

What will make you stand out?

  • Ability to identify native and invasive plant species
  • Ability to get S-130/190 Burn certification as per region requirements
  • Experience with GPS equipment, excavators, off road dump trucks, and / or a dozer
  • Ability to lead a prescribed burn line and communicate clearly the resources and fire behavior of the line with prescribed burn boss
  • Knowledge of appropriate mixing and application of herbicides for managing invasive species
  • Class A CDL License
  • Experience using survey equipment, GPS, Trimble, or Topcon
  • Commercial Pesticide Applicator License in the applicable categories for your assigned states
  • DOT medical card
