Job Summary
The College of Social Work invites applications for a Student Affairs Officer II who will be responsible for student admissions, advising, and assistance with recruitment. The position involves advising students during the admissions process to ensure that students’ academic requirements are met and their professional growth matches their interest. The position will facilitate the admission process for applicants by maintaining application databases, and processing, assembling and storing applications. The position will help coordinate and participate in new student orientations, advise enrolled students regarding plans of study, and connect students to resources/information to address billing and financial aid concerns/questions. This position requires comprehensive knowledge of curriculum offerings, and knowledge of University and College requirements for conferring of degrees. Additionally, the position requires strong organizational and detail-oriented skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
