As the Manager of Mechanical Engineering, you will be at the helm of our client's Design/Build projects, leading and coordinating with engineers and designers. Your role will involve supervising project schedules, budgeting, and stakeholder communication to ensure plans align with company and customer needs, as well as engineering standards. You will provide guidance throughout the design process, inspect and approve design plans for quality, and develop effective staffing strategies and workflow. Your goal is to ensure team effectiveness, project success, and continuous enhancement of the organization's technical capabilities. Key Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and mentor design staff, including hiring and training. Conduct performance reviews, manage team dynamics, and resolve conflicts. Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Design and develop HVAC systems for various construction projects. Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements. Understand customer requirements and provide technical guidance to all company departments. Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and construction technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and process improvements. Generate leads and build a pipeline of potential customers. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets. Contribute to the strategic planning of technology initiatives and product development. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers. Identify and develop new business opportunities within Mechanical Engineering. Serve as a liaison between the engineering team and other areas of our business. Identify potential risks during and post-construction phases within the projects and set up mitigation plans. Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and reports for management review. Participate in strategic planning with Senior Management to improve our business outcomes. Report on team performance, project status, and potential risks to stakeholders and senior management. Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for growth. Develop Schedule of Values. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field. Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role. Strong technical background with knowledge of software development practices and technologies. Strong Leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). Ability to continuously improve processes, and technologies used by the team, encouraging innovation and efficiency improvements. Effective communication and negotiation skills are essential to reconcile different perspectives and ensure alignment. Ability to comfortably initiate and maintain conversations with new individuals. Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships to foster positive interactions. Ability to remain calm and deliver clear instructions under pressure. Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test and possess a valid Pennsylvania's Driver's License.
