This Management and Program Analyst position is with the Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR), Security Operations Directorate, Personnel Security Division located in Washington, D.C. OPR is part of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

***Eligibility: This opportunity is open to current federal employees with competitive status; current and former Land Management employees who meet the Land Management Workforce Flexibility Act; and Veterans eligible under VEOA.

This position serves as a team member of a support services branch. You will use your knowledge and skill to analyze critical programs and related issues requiring the application of a wide range of qualitative systems and management support principles, processes, and systems.�

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assisting with compilation and reviews of program data related to personnel security input, output, and efficiency.

Conducting analysis of personnel security processes to make recommendations to management officials, ensuring decisions regarding adjudications and process efficiencies are made based on sound data analytics.

Assisting in the publishing and automation of the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual management analysis reports detailing analysis of internal operations, which determine whether current Personnel Security Division input/output is at optimal efficiency and assisting in making recommendations in what, if any, changes should be implemented.

Evaluating new technologies or methods for potential inclusion into Personnel Security Division systems.



Salary and Benefits

This Investigative Analyst position starts at a salary of $82,764.00 (GS-11, Step 1) to $128,956.00 (GS-12, Step 10). Qualifications

Experience�This position will be filled at either the GS-11 or GS-12 grade level depending upon the qualifications level of the applicants.

You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:

Conducting analysis of personnel security processes to make recommendations to management officials.

Assisting with compilation and reviews of program data related to personnel security.

Assisting in the publishing and automation of the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual management analysis reports detailing analysis of internal operations of personnel security.

Education Substitution:�At the GS-11 grade level, you may substitute education for experience as follows: Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in an accredited college or university, or LL.M. degree, may be substituted for experience at the GS-11 grade level. Such education must demonstrate the skills needed to do the work.

Combining Education and Experience:�Combinations of successfully completed post-high school graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the grade levels specified.

You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:

Assisting in automating management analysis reports and making recommendations regarding changes to be implemented.

Evaluating new personnel security division system technology and methods.

Analyzing factual information and evaluating significant factors, solve complex problems based on multi-faceted data.

Education Substitution:�Education substitution is not available at the GS-12 grade level.
