Job Description Job Description Commercial Interior Designer – $45,000 to $70,000 Benefits– Memphis, TN The Role Do you possess experience in commercial interior design with A&D firms or furniture dealers, alongside proficiency in software like AutoCAD, Revit, or CET? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are the Mid-South’s premier dealer in office furniture and interiors, looking to appoint an experienced and creative Interior Designer to our growing team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in creating exceptional interior spaces for our diverse clientele. Your expertise will be instrumental in bringing our clients' visions to life while ensuring functionality, aesthetics, and workspace viability. Key Responsibilities: Work closely in direct support of sales team with frequent customer interaction. Develop accurate and complete drawings and specification of product for quote and orders. Produce custom product and finish renderings and proposals for client presentations. Create Installation package consisting of floor plans, isometrics, panel matrixes, bill of materials, feed locations, etc. for the successful installation of a project. Perform site field measurements as necessary. Tag product on quote, prepare key schedules, and any other pertinent information required for complete order process. Make recommendations of fabrics and finishes relating to furniture, walls, and interior space. Review specifications to verify product application and provide offer alternatives for cost effectiveness. Perform final audit prior to order processing and assist other Designers with secondary audits, if required. Revise drawings and specifications as requested or needed. Participate in client meetings with salesperson, if required, to determine design intent. Be able to produce accurate AutoCAD drawings and space planning with furniture. Understand clients’ requests and project scope requirements to translate into a satisfactory floor plan. Be able to produce isometrics and 2D drawings and label as well as renderings for client. Maintain Design Library with samples, literature, and updated price books so that sales can market products effectively . Benefits include paid holidays and vacation, Simple IRA plan with company match, and flexible work hours for special situations. The Person Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design(4 years). At least 3 years’ experience in commercial interior design with an A&D firm or contract furniture dealer. Must be highly experienced with commercial design software has AutoCad, Revit, CET, or similar. Industry experience with an established network of business contacts and proven involvement in community organizations is a plus.
