Job Description Job Description Description: Shipping Associate 1st Shift $2,500 Signing Bonus AFC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and professional picking, packaging, and loading of various orders throughout the day. The Shipping Associate will determine the best method of processing customer orders and ensure that all items are packaged as per customer requirements. Responsibilities: Pick, package, and load various orders throughout the day. Determine the best method of processing customer orders. Package items as per customer requirements and create shipping labels, identifying shipping information on cartons. Effectively communicate with all departments related to the task at hand for effective processing. Post weights and shipping charges and affix postage. Maintain excellent service by following organization standards of quality and national standards of shipping best-practices. Ensure a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, packing area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Operate powered industrial trucks or uses hand truck to move, convey or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area. Must feel comfortable after training on all hand tools, nail gun, circular, reciprocating and chop saws. Pay: $17.00 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Why Work Here? Bonus is paid as follows for employees working 34 or more hours per week: $500 after 30 days of employment, $1,000 after 90 days, $1,000 after 180 days; for employees working 28-33 hours per week: $375 after 30 days of employment, $750 after 90 days, $750 after 180 days; for employees working 20-27hours per week: $250 after 30 days of employment, $500 after 90 days, $500 after 180 days for employees working less than 20 hours per week: $125 after 30 days of employment, $250 after 90 days, $250 after 180 days.
