Job Description Job Description AR/AP, Job Costing, Inventory Management, Contract Management, Quickbooks Desktop 2023 Job description ecojiva LLC is hiring a Junior Accountant to provide support with in-house bookkeeping, job costing, inventory management, skilled in QuickBooks desktop, Advanced Excel in the Troy, MI area. POSITION TYPE : Full time. Direct Hire. You will provide daily support to the accounting team by ensuring timely accurate payments to vendors and supporting accounting month end close activities. Requirements of the Junior Accountant: Assist with daily accounting tasks, such as journal entries, receivable processing, and payable processing. Prepare financial statements and budgets based on specific client standards. Assists and communicate with Property Management Department regarding A/R and A/P issues and processes. Responsibilities: Prepare monthly charges, statements, and Aged Receivable reports. Prepare journal entries. Prepare bank deposits. Data entry of invoices into accounting software Process A/P payments Prepare tenant billback invoices, Contract AR Invoices Review of the prepared financial statement package prior to submission to Accounting Manager to ensure that all prepared schedules reconcile to applicable accounts and other schedules, including documentation of any reconciling differences. Reconciliation of all bank statements, with follow-up and timely resolution of all reconciling items Review and approval of monthly scheduled charges for tenants Calculation and entry of non-recurring charges such as quarterly billings or late fees onto tenant accounts Preparation and review of the annual property budget Preparation and review of the sales tax, insurance, and other miscellaneous reconciliations Preparation of 1099 for sales reps Desired Skills & Experience: Accounting / Financial Degree Minimum of two years of general ledger & bookkeeping experience Proficient in Microsoft Office Ability to learn new software systems quickly. Detail oriented, strong organizational skills, and able to prioritize. Must be able to multi-task and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrate consistency in values, work ethic, and commitment to excellence. Understanding and commitment to client satisfaction Team oriented with the ability to work independently on own tasks. Enthusiasm in accounting and real estate Construction, job costing, inventory management and contract management experience preferred.
