The starting salary for this position is $70,200-82,000 annualized.

Contract Specialist Role: The Contract Specialist is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of contracts from initial request through final approval. This role includes ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements, managing contract negotiation processes, and maintaining detailed records of contract terms and conditions.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
35%Contract Management: Draft, evaluate, negotiate, and review contracts. Identify and mitigate potential risk factors associated with contract agreements. Ensure all contract terms and conditions comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Monitor and manage ongoing performance and compliance of all contractual agreements, addressing and resolving any issues that arise.
25%Relationship Management: Serve as the primary contact for all contractual matters with clients and vendors. Collaborate and coordinate among multiple internal departments, such as legal, finance, and procurement, to facilitate contract approval processes and resolve barriers to optimal contract execution.
25%Cost Management: Evaluate and manage contract costs to ensure financial efficiency and accountability.
5%Reporting: Prepare reports on contract performance and compliance for management review.
5%Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of all contract documentation and correspondence.
5%Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:ExperienceOne year to three years of similar or related experience.Education(1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.Interpersonal SkillsWork involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.Other SkillsIn-depth understanding of contract law, procurement practices, and industry-specific regulations.
Certified Contract Management certification is a plus (e.g., CFCM, CCCM, CPCM).
Requires ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines simultaneously.
Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of contracts.
Familiarity with contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with Workday preferred.
