NeoGenomics has an opening for an Associate Director, Finance who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow. This role is a hybrid work setup at our Aliso Viejo or Carlsbad, CA or Fort Myers, FL sites with a Monday – Friday day shift.

Position Summary:
This individual will serve as the Finance partner to the Laboratory Operations Site leadership. The position reports to the Sr. Director of Finance. The role is highly visible across the labs and central to all aspects of cost management and the financial performance of our operations team.
Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Lab Directors to manage key financial aspects of lab operations with focus on product costing and help support an implementation of Standard costing system
  • Drive improved operating margins through detailed cost of test (COT) analytics and test level profitability. Partner with Lab leadership to drive year over year COT productivity.
  • Partner with Lab Operations team to develop test level bill of material (BOM’s).
  • Establish and Track the right metrics and develop leadership accountability and RCCM to variances
  • Partner with the Lab Directors to identify areas for improvement in Gross Margin and Working Capital
  • Review monthly financials and KPIs related to laboratory operations in accordance with company policies and US GAAP.
Experience & Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics; MBA/CPA/CMA preferred
  • 7+ years of experience working in a laboratory or manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience people management experience
  • Proven track record in Operations Finance activities in a fast growing, dynamic environment
  • Must have a strong understanding of cost accounting under US GAAP
  • Knowledge of accounting systems, ERP systems, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and financial reporting
  • Ability to travel up to 20% as needed.
