Job Title: Manager, Implementation and NG911 Support

Location: Remote

Salary: $100,000 – $115,000

Purpose: The Manager, Implementation and Support will be a working manager responsible for leading a team of NG911 Implementation and Support Coordinators. This individual will participate in activities and lead a team responsible for enabling the successful on-time delivery of next generation 911 projects, deployments, and troubleshooting initiatives with the expected quality and scope. Project and teamwork will include NG911 testing and migration readiness, technology and tool analysis and updates, process efficiency focus, and other efforts to advance 911 technology for Comtech clients. This role will also be responsible for team management, scheduling, and supporting cross team engagement, troubleshooting, testing, and deployment efforts.

While the ideal candidate must have strong management and people skills, they must also be well organized, flexible, and able to attend to detailed minutia, and display strong systems analysis skills. This position requires both the ability to be personable while successfully leading, orchestrating, and executing assigned tasks. It is vital to handle challenges and complications efficiently and effectively as the point person for deployment and troubleshooting activities.

Responsibilities:


  • Supervises the work of program or project staff to ensure that work in completed on time or in accordance with established standards or specifications
  • Support process development and employee on-boarding
  • Provide subject matter expertise on NG911 implementations, systems, and processes.
  • Executes programs that meet the needs of the organization or its employees or customers.
  • Participates in all aspects of corporate programs, including planning, budgeting, staffing, scheduling and performance.
  • Promotes the program throughout the organization and tracks utilization.
  • Assist with the integration and testing of systems & subsystems. Manage and coordinate integration efforts between Public Safety IT subsystems and the NG9-1-1 system.
  • Engages with internal and external clients and personnel to ensure coordination and collaboration on issue resolution and planning initiatives.
  • Lead technical discussions in integration planning and manage associated action items.
  • Assist in the coordination with project leads and subcontractors to continue review of all required interfaces with the NG9-1-1 system.
  • Lead efforts to analyze data to spot anomalies, trends and correlate similar data sets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with project stakeholders by providing education, guidance, input, and initiatives to support project work.
  • Develop project reporting dashboards to support project updates and readouts.
  • Monitor tasks, track project milestones and take action to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Escalate project risks and issues and work with project team on solutions where applicable.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Ensure team adherence to Comtech policies, standards, processes, procedures and guidelines for service team support.
  • Additional project tasks and duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Four years of management or supervisory experience.
  • Four-year college degree or five years of 911 systems experience.
  • Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) experience desired.
  • Two (2) years of project coordination experience on complex project desired.
