This position is covered by NERC CIP cyber security standards. Prior to being hired, promoted, or transferred into the position, the candidate must successfully pass a Personnel Risk Assessment, which includes identity verification and a criminal background check. Prior to being granted unescorted access to cyber secure areas, the candidate must attend cyber security training. Annual cyber security training is also required.

SUMMARY:

Assists space planning and facilities management for the data center. Under limited supervision plans and coordinates IT infrastructure environment including: installation and movement and removal of equipment. Functions as a liaison for data center and staff involving facility and environmental issues, maintenance, and support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under limited supervision responsible for electrical, network and fiber cabling installation for Aztec Data Center raised floor Information Technology infrastructure Servers, Storage, Backup and Networking and Security equipment for all Production, Development, Test and QA environments for ensuring redundancy at all layers within data center raised floor environment

Assists in shipping, receiving, and removal of BTS shipments compliant with policies and directives, including Tier 1 and Mission Critical Servers, Storage, Backup and Networking equipment and all end user computers, desktops and laptops

Assists data center inventory control and asset management, storage, transportation and disposal

Coordinates and conducts monthly generator tests for related facilities; maintains required test logs and applicable compliance information as directed

Liaison to provide support by configuring, maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting the infrastructure environment

Communicates and coordinates responses to environmental and facilities alerts and notifications between Company and business partners

Reports facility and environmental status to relative departments and management as required

Plans and coordinates all essential duties and responsibilities with the supervisor

Installs server room equipment at the critical IT sites

Follows all processes and procedures specified in the data center operations best practices and standards manuals

Reclaims cabling and prepare retired media for proper destruction

Provides the contractors located offshore with hands and feet support in the IT locations as needed including console access, installations, and troubleshooting

COMPETENCIES:

Knowledge of space and systems requirements, power requirements, cooling requirements, configuration, design and layout of IT raised floor infrastructure environments. Additionally, this includes rack layout, wiring and power design for all raised floor enclosures

Knowledge of rack layout, wiring and power design for all raised floor enclosures

Knowledge of the Company's business practices and familiarity with its products and services

Demonstrated knowledge of facilities, project, and administrative management

Knowledge of organizational structure to meet business unit needs

Ability to handle multiple complex assignments in a timely manner with changing deadlines and priorities

Ability to be self-motivated to meet varying customer needs with business unit and reporting requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university with three to five years, hands on IT troubleshooting experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline.

Possessing a certification, or be working towards a certification related to the position

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must possess a current, legally valid driver's license and meet the company's driving record requirements.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

Excellent communication and customer relation skills to maintain high client satisfaction and to lead move-coordination meetings with clients and support departments

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, architectural drawings, Autocad system files, leases, contracts, technical procedures, instructions, or governmental regulations

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Extensive knowledge in email, spreadsheet, presentation, and word processing software

Understanding of IT infrastructure components and technologies

ANALYSIS AND PROBLEM-SOLVING ABILITY:

Ability to deal with changing priorities and customer demands with limited supervision or direction. Ability to analyze successes and failures to identify opportunities for improvement.

DECISION MAKING:

Ability to exercise professional judgment in decision-making, keeping corporate and departmental business objectives in mind to minimize costs and meet customer demands.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, and lifting.

Shares 24x7x365 on-call responsibilities related to monitoring the critical IT locations for power and cooling related incidents, and troubleshooting server room equipment assigned to the data center operations team.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Primarily office environment.
