System One is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer for an industry-leading client in the Ford City, PA area. Job Summary: We are seeking a mechanical engineer to join our team; someone with a growth mindset, having the ability to simplify complex ideas for a variety of audiences. In this role, you will learn to design Belleville disc springs and support the team through technical interaction with customers, research and development, and project planning. Key Responsibilities: Engineering Design: considering requirements, standards, manufacturability and compliance. Willingness to learn, be teachable and teach others. Building technical relationships with domestic and international customers. Leading and supporting technical projects (internal & external). Managing multiple projects, simultaneously, as a self-starter who is organized and timely in the execution of tasks. Supporting the internal sales team: making recommendations for materials, use-cases, and technical expertise. R&D and DOE for new projects: validating repeatability and performance. Utilizing CAD software for design work and supporting job-shop work. Preparing and reviewing design documentation, technical reports, drawings, and specifications. Working collaboratively within the team, contributing to a supportive and innovative work environment. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or related field) A growth mindset and a positive attitude that supports customers and team 3-years of experience in mechanical design or similar role; preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector Excellent communication skills to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for design work & customer support Strong understanding of material properties & composition (metals) in various forms & conditions Proficiency in GD&T and interpreting technical specifications Ability to build technical relationships with customers Ability to perform accurate calculations and develop mathematical proofs Innovative problem-solving skills to address unique challenges Preferred Qualifications: Experience in prototyping / DOE and conducting testing to validate performance of design Experience / exposures in aerospace, mining, oil & gas, energy, automotive, and/or heavy machinery Certification or training in Lean Manufacturing & Root Cause Analysis Experience in regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, medical devices, and/or automotive Technical Sales Engineer experience Experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) compliance Proficiency in advanced analytical tools (FEA) and techniques for load analysis, fatigue analysis, and dynamic simulation M1 LI-ON1
