Lead Counselor - Military veterans preferred

Job Description Job Description Harrison Youth Council, a not-for-profit, substance abuse prevention agency located in Harrison, NY, is seeking a Lead Counselor to manage a small staff of social workers and/or counselors. The Lead Counselor will: · Supervise a small number of staff who provide individual, group, and family counseling. · Oversee the management of evidence-based school curriculum in our local elementary schools. · Effectively coordinate agency efforts with the board of directors, school administration, local government, other community leaders, as well as county and state agencies. · Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with clients between the ages of 5-20, their families, and other community stakeholders. The candidate must have: · CPP (Credential Prevention Professional), CPS (Credential Prevention Specialist), LCSW, LMSW or any other related prevention disciplines. · Direct supervisory experience and the ability to work independently · Proficiency in Spanish is desirable, but not required Salary: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year Benefits · Paid time off · Professional development assistance · 10 paid holidays Schedule: · Monday to Thursday 10:00am – 6pm Friday 9:00am -5pm · January - December
