Job Description Job Description Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Competitive salary Dental insurance Employee discounts Health insurance Opportunity for advancement Paid time off Training & development Vision insurance OBJECTIVE: Support, coordinate, and manage new products in the development and subsequent launch and lifecycle of all products and brands (Kalco Lighting, Allegri Crystal, Element & Artifact, and Modern Elements). DUTIES: Coordinate and organize information from the Designers as well as Product Development staff teams at partner factories to ensure that each new product introduction is accurate, detailed, and completed on time to meet quarterly market deadlines. (New Introduction product sample delivery and data). Create, coordinate, and manage production calendars to facilitate team communication and maintain transparent deadlines. Create, organize, and manage a Product Planning Chart for each product line launch. The PPC should include: Each product family being introduced at quarterly markets. Essential information on collection including item numbers, descriptions, and specifications. Essential costing information to determine sales pricing and first PO purchase quantities. Provide needed information in the approved format to Data Administrator, Marketing, and Purchasing. Document Control - Responsible for updating and record keeping of Design Concepts, CAD DWGs, Master Finish Database, Media Contact(s), and other Product Development related documents to assure that all information is well organized and current. Coordinate transfer of samples of materials, finishes, etc. to accommodate product development needs and help with getting needed samples for sales and marketing needs. Coordinate sample Review & Progress meetings. Help foster a culture and mindset that Is proactive in approach to problem-solving. Can anticipate potential problems as well as opportunities. Has a sense of urgency. Is collaborative with both foreign and domestic teams. Provide annual product line review forum with data to manage the product life cycle and determine the course of action for each item based on where it is on the product life curve. Provide help with showroom set-up and related tasks as needed. Any other duties or tasks as assigned. PERFORMANCE CRITERIA (The following criteria will be used evaluate your performance) Performance to schedule - Provide needed materials (images and data) for timely catalog production, online, and software launch of products. Accuracy of the information - in PPC, Marketing, and Product Development calendars. Data Integrity-The information provided to the users is accurate and available. All Samples are loaded onto containers and received at Kalco by predetermined dates to set up showrooms without the need for costly air shipments. Feedback from the partner factories on ease of doing business with Kalco visvis NPD cycle. Must be available to work with overseas factories to make sure that they get the needed answers and information urgently. The work schedule hours may be adjusted to allow for the time difference. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors Degree in communications or equivalent experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel Knowledge of Adobe Suite Software a plus Comfortable using a wide variety of software intended for meetings, asset sharing and digital storage Obsessive organizational skills Strong team player with the ability to comfortably perform under pressure, a willingness to grow in the position and communicate across departments Schedule flexibility in working with overseas vendors, comfortable communicating through messaging software and video conferencing software Able to analyze data, organize market research, and present discoveries Critical, solution-based thinker. Working Environment/ Physical Activities: Some travel may be required, including possible overseas factory visits. In Office Position Approximately 80% of the job function is performed in an office setting, sitting behind a desk performing tasks on the computer.
