Summary The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing equipment including pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical problems by making adjustments and repairs on building and production equipment. This position breaks down equipment and replaces, adjusts or repairs parts. Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices. Develops standard maintenance programs to be incorporated into operating manuals for customers Assists in identifying and resolving recurrent failures Supports root cause analysis program for major failures Maintains and repairs lift table and lift jacks Keeps machinery and production equipment in working condition and always ready for production, including forklift fleet and the service agreements on larger forklift repairs. Diagnoses and repairs issues with welding machines, trucks, and golf carts Maintains adequate supply of parts to service and maintain equipment, and keeps detailed records for reporting of maintenance performed and parts used. Qualifications The following generally describes requirements to successfully perform the assigned duties. Minimum Qualifications Ability to work independently. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Ability to work with tools such as a welder, cutting torch, grinder, lathe, mill, drill, and meter 1 year of experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills Preferred Qualifications 5 years experience in mechanical maintenance field 1 years of Welding Experience 1 years of Fabrication Experience.
