The University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology, and the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center are searching for an Associate Professor, appointment stream faculty member to serve as Director of the Hematopoietic Stem Cell Lab and Director of the Immune Monitoring and Cellular Products Lab. Candidate must have a PhD in Microbiology and Cell Biology with experience in cell processing and manufacturing of products used in cell and gene therapies. The position will be 80% research and 20% service/administration. The candidate must have proven productivity as a co-first author in publications in high-impact journals.

Applicants for Associate Professor, non-tenure, should have three or more years of experience in related scientific research, have obtained or demonstrate the ability to obtain external research funding, have disseminated results through peer-reviewed publications and other scientific forums, and demonstrate the capacity for sustained career development, promotion and tenure.
