Summary/Objective
The business operations specialist plays a critical role in the efficient and effective operation of the Meter Line of Business at Sparus. The role focuses on coordinating a variety of operational aspects of projects from award through completion, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, identifying potential issues and developing and implementing effective solutions. Areas of focus include finance, compliance, regulations, bonding, licensing, coordination of equipment and facilities, and forecasting.
Essential Functions
Verification of compliance with licensing, bonding, and insurance requirements and obtaining licenses, bonds, and certificates of insurance (COIs) when needed
Coordination of compliance reporting for projects (e.g. Davis-Bacon Act reporting)
Development of project plans for effective startup (e.g. Deliverable Plan, Resource Plan)
Identifying and securing warehouse and related facilities to support project delivery needs
Coordination of vehicle, equipment, and related logistical needs for efficient project startup
Support billing processes including revenue assurance, pricing updates, and invoice verification
Provide input to forecasting to help the line of business anticipate future trends, outcomes, or events based on historical data and analysis.
Monitor day-to-day operations and recommend improvements.
Maintain active communication with operations director, staff, and vendors.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool, as necessary.
Work Schedule/ Travel
This is a hybrid position, with a preference given to candidates within the Atlanta Metro area and or ability to spend time as needed in the Sparus headquarters in Peachtree Corners, Georgia. Some degree of travel is required but is not expected to exceed 10%-20% once the Business Operations Specialist has gained a working understanding of the role requirements.
Compensation
Salary is commensurate with experience but starts at $65, 000 and up.
