UT Health Tyler in Tyler, TX is seeking a Faculty Radiology Chair to join its growing team. Required Education / Experience: Advanced degree, i.e., MD, DO, or Ph.D. is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience within academic departmental leadership or related activities strongly preferred Accompanying Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies: Track record of effective leadership, including experience and success in research, education, and clinical administration Success in building, expanding and elevating programs with vision and collaborative team spirit. Ability to develop and implement new programs. Knowledge of creating and managing budgets. About the Position: Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with occasional overtime as needed Call is 1:3 weeks. Tele-radiology service is utilized for overnight reads; the Physician will need to over-read reports the following morning. Saturday and Sunday call will consist of 2 to 5 hours to read weekend and overnight studies. Outpatient clinic is located at our University Hospital, UT Health North Campus Tyler Research is not necessary, but the opportunity is available to clinical faculty Teaching responsibilities will include internal medicine and family medicine, residents. The schedule is on average 1-1.5 days a week.
